NEW WEBSITE!!!

Any Animaniacs fans out there? That used to be one of my favorite shows. I took it way beyond just watching them on Saturday mornings and even owned a cassette tape of Wakko singing songs about cheese and Yakko making a song out of two notes.

Anyway, remember that “Good Idea, Bad Idea” segment? I definitely had a GIBI moment yesterday.

GOOD IDEA: Updating the website.

BAD IDEA: Updating the website in the middle of prime time, causing it to crash.

So if you visited anytime yesterday, you probably noticed that wax&wires was not what you might have expected. Sorry about that. We ran into some server issues as well, but at least got the main chunk of the site back up. We’re still refreshing some images.

Other than the aesthetics upgrade, I’m really excited about some new features we’ve added; including video commenting, YouTube video comment embedding, user polls, social bookmarking and more. I hope you all enjoy it.

Please let me know if you catch anything that doesn’t seem to be working right.

Now that the new site is mostly done, I’ll get back to writing some stories for you, which I had tabled in order to focus on bringing stories to you on a prettier page.

I seriously LOVE how the last guy to jump the accordion player is on crutches. Ha!
