If the TED conference does not excite you, check yourself for a pulse. The first story I brought to you from TED was about the Siftable blocks back in February. Now, here we are, several months later still finding not only great tech content, but a brilliant musical performance from March.
Organ virtuoso Qi Zhang plays her electric rendering of “Ridiculous Fellows” from Prokofiev’s “The Love for Three Oranges” orchestral suite. This exhilarating performance from TEDx USC features the Yamaha Electone Stagea, a rare, imported instrument specially programmed by Qi herself.
Unfortunately, for those aspiring to follow in her footsteps, the Yamaha Stagea Electone is only availalbe in parts of Eastern Asia. Several have been imported to North Amera, and the UK, but you won’t be able to head down to your local GC and try it out any time soon. You could check out some pics and info on Yamaha’s Japanese site though.
