In a note entitled “Rumours (Unfounded)” posted to their blog two days ago, U2 warned fans against buying phoney tickets to their shows in the summer. While their new album, No Line On The Horizon, is due out in March and is likely to be followed by a world tour, no specific dates have been released yet.
Ever since the advent of the digital ticket, we’ve been seeing problems with ticket counterfeit and illegal duplication. Now people seem to be falsifying tickets to shows that don’t even exist yet, rather than simply printing out multiple copies of their tickets to sell as we’ve seen in years past.

Rumours (Unfounded)
Just a note to correct some online information suggesting that tickets are available for U2 shows this summer. No tickets are available and no shows have been announced.
There are no tour dates for the band at the moment so please don’t get stung by buying tickets for shows that don’t exist.
You can be sure any future live announcements will be made on U2.Com as soon as details are confirmed.
Here’s your warning, don’t get burned!
