Wax Pick: The Bird And The Bee – Carol Of The Bells
This was a free download on iTunes last year. Even though you have to pay a buck for it now, it’s well worth it. Greg Kurstin (the production mind of The Bird and the Bee) is brilliant. He’s worked with really great artists like Lily Allen, Beck, The Flaming Lips, Kylie Minogue and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. You’ll definitely see me posting some of their original stuff in future wax picks, as they’re one of my favorite bands.
This is such a creative rendition of a song that’s been way overdone in the same exact way year after year. Thank you, Greg Kurstin, for giving us a new flavor on this age-old classic.
